The Argus Automatic Activation Device (AAD) is a 3rd generation electronic and pyrotechnic safety device for parachutists. The Argus Military TPM family is the latest generation of the Argus multi-mode line of parachute Automatic Activation Devices, combining advanced engineering, know-how, true quality and reliability using superior hardware.
The Argus TPM (Time, Pressure & Multi-mode) is designed for tactical military operations. The Argus features a unique multi-mode concept, thus catering for all needs,operational as well as training.
In “Training” mode you can select a LOW speed or HIGH speed activation, taking in consideration the experience level, as well as a TANDEM/ BUNDLE mode.
In “Operational” mode, the TPM offers the choice between TIME and PRESSURE, which allows not only for life saving, but also for the continuation of the mission. The user can select virtually any altitude activation. The Argus TPM can be installed on the main or the reserve, or both.
The ultra flat design allows for this set-up.

As with ANY Automatic Activation Device, the Argus is to be used as a last-resort safety device only. It was never intended to, and is not to be used as a parachute’s primary opening system.
